Why StrumLoop exists

I built this after watching a JustinGuitar lesson on strumming patterns. The exercise was to mark strums on paper, but I wanted something I could use directly on my laptop, hear instantly, and share easily. So I made StrumLoop.

FAQ

What is StrumLoop?

StrumLoop is a free browser-based tool for building and practicing guitar strumming patterns with visual cues, metronome playback, and shareable links.

Do I need an account?

No. There’s no login, no subscription, and no backend account system. Just open it and start practicing.

Can I save or share a pattern?

Yes. StrumLoop remembers your latest setup in your browser, and the Copy Share Link button creates a link you can send to someone else.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The layout is responsive, so you can use it on phones and tablets as well as on a laptop or desktop.

What’s the difference between 8th-note and 16th-note mode?

8th-note mode uses counts like 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +. 16th-note mode adds the extra subdivisions e and a so you can practice denser patterns like 1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a.
